Position: Support Worker
Type: Temporary 5-month contract, Part Time (32 hpw)
Salary: £24,638 [pro rata]

Typical day as our Support Worker
1. Start with a handover, discussing the day's tasks and support plans.
2. Assist customers with daily needs like cleaning, paying bills, attending activities, and developing life skills such as cooking, shopping, and budgeting.
3. Organize activities and support during distress, maintaining resilience.
4. Participate in risk assessments, support planning, and property upkeep, following safety protocols.
5. Engage in informal chats and team collaboration, fostering a supportive environment.
You bring
* Passion for supporting others and attention to detail.
* Experience in supporting roles or supporting family members with mental health issues.
* Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and be resilient.
* Flexibility to adopt a personal, customer-focused approach.
* Positive, solution-oriented attitude.
* Proficiency with technology for updating plans and online learning.

Job details
* Flexible start and finish times to meet customer needs.
* Work on a 4-week rolling rota, including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays.
* Sleep-in shifts paid at £50 per shift.
* Support available from colleagues and out-of-hours services.
* Enhanced DBS check required; paid for by us.
