The post holder will support the delivery and evaluation of the psychology service, demonstrating empathy, adaptability, and experience in mental health. Emotional resilience and a compassionate approach are essential. Experience with psychometrics or research is beneficial, as these are key aspects of the role.
Responsibilities include assisting with clinical duties such as triage, screening, psychological assessment, and interventions under supervision, as well as non-clinical tasks like audits, statistics, and research development. The role involves working independently on daily tasks while under the guidance of qualified psychologists.
The service covers major hospitals in North Tyneside, Wansbeck, Hexham, and smaller community clinics, serving a large geographical area.
