Your new role
As a Business Intelligence Data Analyst, you will transform raw data into actionable insights to inform business decisions and monitor performance. You will lead the full data analysis lifecycle, from requirements analysis and data modelling to designing reusable metrics and front-end report development.A crucial part of your role is ensuring that key metrics and findings are presented in a clear and accessible way, enabling stakeholders across the organisation to make data-driven improvements. You’ll also play an integral role in resolvingplex data quality issues and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
1. Develop databases and reusable data assets to enhance analytical efficiency.
2. Oversee and improve existing business insights reports, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
3. Design and build reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions using SQL, Power BI, and other tools.
4. Perform advanced statistical analysis and interpret trends in large datasets.
5. Extract and prepare data for regulatory submissions and external reporting.
6. Provide expert guidance on data queries and support ad-hoc reporting requests.
7. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in data analytics.
8. Train colleagues to effectively utilise dashboards and reports.
9. Ensure all work aligns with the organisation's values: Trustworthy, Respectful, Accountable, Collaborative, and Excellent.
What you'll need to succeed
10. Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI, and DAX is essential.
11. Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake or DataBricks is preferred.
12. Expertise in T-SQL to writeplex queries and stored procedures.
13. Understanding of database optimisation, data mining, auditing, and segmentation.
14. Skilled in data visualisation and statistical techniques such as linear regression.
15. Ability to conduct user acceptance testing and ensure data integrity.
16. Confidence to challenge existing processes and rmend improvements.
17. Effectivemunication skills and the ability to translateplex data for non-technical audiences.
18. An open, flexible, and problem-solving mindset with a passion for data.
