The Role:
1. Operate sawmill machinery safely and efficiently
2. Load, position, and secure timber onto cutting equipment
3. Measure, mark, and cut timber to required sizes and specifications
4. Monitor machine performance and report faults or defects
5. Carry out basic machine maintenance and cleaning
6. Sort, stack, and store cut timber correctly
7. Inspect timber for defects, damage, or quality issues
8. Follow health and safety procedures, including use of PPE
9. Maintain a clean and organized work area
10. Assist with manual handling and movement of materials
