Cover Supervisors play a vital role in schools, whether on a day-to-day, long-term, or permanent basis. While the role does not involve planning and preparation, strong communication and classroom management skills are essential. Roles & Responsibilities As a Cover Supervisor with TeacherActive, you will: Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the teacher. Ensure students remain on task and engaged with their learning. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment. Support pupils individually or in small groups to encourage progress. Assist with classroom routines such as registration, transitions, and lesson wrap-ups. Report back to teachers on pupil progress, engagement, and behaviour. Be adaptable and flexible when working across different year groups and subjects.
