About the role This is a Community Engagement Project Worker role based in the preventative hubs service in Carmarthenshire. The hubs are located in Llanelli, Amman and Gwendreath. We have a team of Scheme Support officers, Lead Project Workers, Project Workers and, Accommodation Coordinator providing 24/7 Support to our diverse group of customers. Working in a team and with partner organisations, you will play a key part in delivering the preventative hub services, providing preventative and solution-based community support to customers to improve and/ or maintain their health, well-being and independence through social integration and strong community relationships. With the team, you will deliver the single point of contact from which customers can access information, opportunities, and support that is visible, accessible and available. You will receive referrals, provide information, have wellbeing conversations with customers, deliver community engagement campaigns and develop community support networks. Skills and Experience Needed Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people are essential. More important are: A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations It is also essential that you hold a driving licence and have access to a car. Pay and Pensions Full-time (37hrs), fixed term until 30 th of June 2026 The salary for this position is £ 28,041.00 FTE Work Pattern: Monday – Friday, flexibility is required depending on the needs of the customer Enhanced DBS, which we will pay for Pension Choices: Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%.
