Are you a dedicated and experienced Children’s Residential Home Manager seeking a new challenge? Are you keen to work with an established company on the commissioning of their new service.
HLTH Group, the UK’s leading provider of healthcare compliance solutions, is proud to partner with a trusted client in recruiting a dedicated and experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead and oversee the care, development, and well-being of children in their residential home. This role requires a compassionate leader with a strong commitment to supporting young people, particularly those who have experienced trauma and face emotional and behavioural challenges.
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment tailored to each child's individual needs. Your role will be crucial in promoting emotional, physical, and educational development, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.
Additionally, you will lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of professional development, teamwork, and excellence in care. Advocating for the children, you will work closely with social workers, families, local authorities, and other agencies to provide the best possible support and future opportunities for young people in care.
*Responsibilities will include *
* *Service Registration & Compliance* – Lead the Ofsted registration process and maintain full regulatory compliance. Offering expertise and guidance on all Ofsted requirements.
* *Service Development* – Oversee all aspects of setup, including health & safety, safeguarding, and child protection protocols.
* *Leadership & Team Management* – Recruit, train, and develop a committed team that delivers exceptional care.
* *Collaboration & Care Planning* – Work closely with social workers, therapists, and education professionals to create tailored care plans.
* *Quality Assurance & Risk Management* – Ensure continuous monitoring, regulatory readiness, and ongoing service improvements.
* *Financial Planning –* Skills to work within set budgets and ensuring an even distribution of resources
* *Stakeholder Engagement* – Build strong relationships with local authorities, schools, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies.
* *Strategic Growth* – Contribute to future expansion plans across the Northwest of England.
*To be considered for this role*
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
* At least 2 years’ recent management / supervisory experience in a Children’s Residential setting
* Extensive knowledge of Ofsted regulations and compliance
* Experience in commissioning services (highly desirable)
* Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and challenges faced by children in residential care
