Locum Social Worker - Long Term Team Wokingham Borough Council Pay: Up to £35 per hour Wokingham Borough Council's Safeguarding Teams are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Locum Social Worker to join our long-term team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families. About the Role In this role, you will work in close partnership with families and other professionals to understand the support they may need to safely and effectively parent. Our team’s clear aim is to identify where appropriate support can be obtained and to progress Child in Need and Child Protection Plans to achieve positive outcomes for children and families. We adopt a relationship-based practice to ensure all children and families have meaningful and professional encounters with our Social Workers. The ideal candidate will be flexible and have great interpersonal skills, excellent recording skills, and a sound knowledge of children’s legislation and thresholds. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task. What We're Looking For We are looking for a professional who has direct experience within a Child Protection team, including court work, within the last 18 months.
