What you'll do: This role is responsible for managing the strategic buying responsibilities for the Luton site, ensuring the plant achieves objectives relating to supplier management, cost management, quality, delivery, etc. - Manage day to day issues with suppliers, challenge situations and establish solutions - Manage database of suppliers, key changes, VMI counts, contract reviews etc accordingly - Act as point of escalation for critical component shortages - work with suppliers and Eaton corporate team to secure supply - Provide support and guidance for Operational/Junior Buyers, delegate workload where necessary and monitor for completion - Drive improvements across all key metrics - SOTD, PPV, DPPM, DPO, inventory levels - Conduct vendor price negotiations and give direction to operational team on pricing issues - Manage supplier disputes/performance issues as required - Review Min Max/Safety stocks/leadtimes/Moqs, with Supply chain - Manage component obsolescance and PCNs, single source - Manage PPAP process for NPI/tooling relocation - Support R&D department on NPI projects - Any other duties as reasonably required by the Procurement department - Procurement of a portfolio of materials, goods or services within a category - Deliver KPI's relating to cost, cash, quality, service and continuity of supply for the portfolio - Work with suppliers and influence internal stakeholders to implement the innovation strategy, and to evolve the strategy as technology, markets and business needs change - Continuously gather, analyse, interpret and act upon market intelligence - Minimise risk to continuity of supply by carrying out supplier risk assessments Qualifications: - CIPS Level 4 or equivalent procurement qualification preferred Skills: - Electronics manufacturing experience - SAP, Microsoft Office - Supplier Management - Prioritisation of tasks - Collaborative, adaptable, analytical, good communicator Long Description - Competitive compensation and benefits package - Challenging projects in dynamic collaborative team - We make your aspirations matter - Eaton encourages internal promotion, whenever possible - We make your growth matter - We invest in our employees for the long term - not just with salary and benefits, but with ongoing learning and development opportunities made available through Eaton University - We make your contributions matter - reliability, safety, efficiency, and sustainability are at the core of our dedication to improving people's lives and the environment through power management technologies - We make your wellbeing matter - We put your health and safety first.
