Main duties of the job
1. The post holder is accountable for the effective and efficient delivery of clinical services within the areas of designated responsibility, both on a day to day and long-term perspective.
2. Ensure that developments, service reviews and planning are in line with the strategic and operational objectives of the Trust.

Skills and Experience
Essential criteria
21. Knowledge of a comprehensive range of Human Resource processes essential for staff management and service development, including supervision of junior staff
22. Experience of change management, policy development, organisational change, service development
23. Evidence of an in-depth knowledge of NHS priorities, processes and operational issues
Desirable criteria
24. Experience in clinical teaching relevant to clinical specialist area
Knowledge and Training
Essential criteria
25. Diploma / degree in relevant profession and registration of relevant professional body (e.g.Health Care Professions Council/Register Clinical Technologists)
26. Master level qualification in relevant field or equivalent management experience at band 7 level or above for at least 5 years
27. Evidence of formal post graduate training in a Health Services Management Programme and / or demonstrable experience comparable to this level
28. Evidence of a portfolio of CPD
Desirable criteria
29. Evidence of accredited advanced / validated post graduate education relevant to management responsibilities and / or clinical care / evidence-based practice (e.g. MSc modules)
