Next Wave Care Group is seeking a dynamic and committed Registered Service Manager to lead our Supported Accommodation services as we progress through Ofsted registration.
As Service Manager, you will play a key role in establishing and shaping a new service, ensuring our homes provide safe, supportive, and empowering environments for young people preparing for adulthood. You will oversee compliance with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023, manage and develop your staff team, and lead on quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
·Lead and manage supported accommodation services for young people.
·Ensure services meet Ofsted regulations and achieve excellent inspection outcomes.
·Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people, managing risks appropriately.
·Build, lead, and motivate a strong, skilled, and compassionate staff team.
·Promote a culture of independence, empowerment, and positive outcomes for young people.
·Maintain effective partnerships with external agencies, professionals, and families.
·Oversee service quality through audits, monitoring, feedback, and action planning.
·Manage referrals, placements, and service performance against key targets.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
·Proven experience managing supported accommodation or similar services for young people.
·In-depth understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and risk management.
·Strong knowledge of the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Ofsted inspection frameworks.
·Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
·Commitment to trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
·Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete) or equivalent.
Desirable:
·Experience leading services through Ofsted inspections or quality assurance visits.
·Knowledge of trauma-informed care models and therapeutic support approaches.
·Understanding of child exploitation risks (CCE, CSE) and contextual safeguarding.
·Experience managing budgets and service occupancy targets.
·Formal safeguarding qualifications (e.g., Designated Safeguarding Lead training).
·Previous experience supporting young people transitioning from care to independence.
