Your new role As an HGV Mechanic, you'll carry out inspection, maintenance and repair work on a diverse fleet including HGVs, LGVs, plant equipment and specialist municipal vehicles. You'll ensure all vehicles meet statutory compliance, safety standards and operational readiness.Key responsibilities include: Conducting routine servicing, MOT preparation and safety inspections Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs Maintaining accurate service records and documentation Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and local authority standards Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workshop environment What you'll need to succeed Time‑served HGV Mechanic / Vehicle Technician (or equivalent) Experience working on HGVs and/or municipal fleet vehicles Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills A proactive approach and ability to work independently HGV licence (desirable but not essential) What you'll get in return Monday-Friday working pattern, 8:00am-4:30pm Competitive rate of pay Opportunity for long term work What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
