In 2022, they opened a new co-educational junior school, City Junior School, for children aged 7-11, forming a group of three schools serving students from 7 to 18.About the PostWe seek an experienced Head of Finance to lead the finance functions across all three schools. This senior role reports to the Schools’ Chief Operating Officer and collaborates closely with the City of London Corporation’s Chamberlain’s department. The successful candidate will shape financial strategy, ensure value for money, and improve service delivery. This role is vital for driving innovation, efficiency, and financial resilience amid sector-wide changes and financial pressures.The Head of Finance will oversee a cross-site finance team, providing leadership in budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and compliance. Responsibilities include working with Heads of Schools, management teams, and boards, delivering presentations, developing financial policies, managing stakeholder relationships, and supporting long-term financial goals.The ideal candidate is a fully qualified CCAB (or CIMA) accountant with significant post-qualification experience in complex public or private sectors, preferably with experience in independent education. Strong strategic financial leadership, excellent communication, stakeholder engagement skills, and team leadership ability are essential.
