Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and exposure to challenging projects.
The Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between the engineering team and Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:
* Training internal staff and customers on products and solutions.
* Supporting Professional Services and Sales within Network Services.
* Monitoring customer incidents and reporting on accounts.
* Highlighting trends, security threats, or technical bulletins affecting customers.
* Managing documentation related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
* Following internal and external processes for tasks, updates, and reporting.
* Assisting with Proof of Concept scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
* Creating and reviewing technical documentation and statements of work.
* Pre-staging equipment for customer sites as needed.
* Participating in customer meetings and reviews.
* Ensuring timely and accurate timesheet submissions.
* Maintaining relevant certifications and training.
* Completing overtime and expense reports accurately.
* Adhering to GDPR and security policies regarding sensitive data.
Ideal candidate profile:
The successful candidate will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. Experience in a support environment and on-premise Cloud Services is desirable. Required skills include:
* MCSA: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or above
* Networking Concepts
* Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or above, including clustering and availability groups
* Azure MFA and Identity Services
* Microsoft System Configuration Manager
* Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 or above
* VMware vCloud Director
* Strong work ethic, ownership, and collaboration skills
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
