The Opportunity:
We're hiring an Analyst (Grade 2) to join our dynamic Exploration & Production (E&P) team in Aberdeen. This is a hands-on laboratory role, ideal for someone with experience in analytical testing and a passion for mentoring others. You’ll conduct sample testing, perform equipment calibrations, and contribute to the day-to-day operations of our lab—all while leading by example and supporting your junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Testing a variety of crude, petroleum products, gas, water and deposit samples to international standards and in-house test methods.
2. Receive and log in samples for testing on the required systems.
3. Generate analytical reports for review and approval for release to customers.
4. Perform calibrations and verification of instrumentation.
5. Maintain the cleanliness and housekeeping of the laboratory.
6. Support in the development of new testing requirements.
7. Work within the Quality Management System.
8. Work within Health, Safety & Environmental Standards.
Who We’re Looking For:
9. Science-based qualification (HND or above) or equivalent lab experience is desirable but not essential.
10. Experience in a UKAS-accredited lab preferred.
11. Strong IT literacy and confident in using data systems.
12. Hands-on, adaptable, and team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
