Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Registered Nurses and Operating Department Professionals (ODPs) to join our newly acquired hospital in Fordcombe. We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals with anaesthetic experience to work with our Theatre team at The Fordcombe Hospital. The role involves working in various specialist areas. Applicants must be fully registered ODPs or have completed a post-registration nursing course in anaesthetics. If you do not hold a valid NMC or HCPC registration, your application will be automatically rejected.
Main duties of the job
1. Assist in the delivery of patient care
2. Be a skilled member of the Operating Theatre Anaesthetic Team in various specialties
3. Promote and deliver evidence-based practice within your scope
4. Coordinate the use of supplies and equipment safely and appropriately
5. Assist the anaesthetic team throughout the perioperative care phase
6. Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team involved in patient care
7. Participate in safety checks (including WHO) and complete necessary documentation

This role requires a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at Enhanced Level (including checks against vulnerable adults and children).
All successful applicants will complete a corporate trust induction upon starting.
Following induction, attend the Trust's 2-week full-time Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs, and Paramedics. The programme involves travel to both Trust sites, includes clinical shifts, classroom sessions, and e-learning.
