Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: Coventry
Salary: 39k per annum
I am currently working on behalf of a large FM and maintenance company, seeking an experienced and qualified commercial gas engineer. This will be a static based role covering commercial sites in the Stoke‑on‑Trent surrounding. Ideally the candidate has experience working within commercial environments carrying out all areas of commercial gas maintenance and minor remedial tasks.

Primary Responsibilities
* Plan and carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on commercial/industrial boilers.
* Complete inspection and gas safety check certificates.
* Ensure PPM is carried out in line with task schedules, frequencies and industry best practices.
* Identify defects found and provide parts list and estimated timescales to complete the defects.
* Transport and handle boilers in accordance with current Health and Safety Regulations.
* Establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
* Carry out installation, repairs, maintenance and plan operational duties, working with various systems and reporting as requested.
* Work with appliances such as small‑scale plant rooms, centralised heating boilers, gas heaters etc.
* Visit customer premises (commercial) to fit, service and repair boilers and centralised heating systems that have broken down.
* Assess, dismantle, repair or replace relevant parts.
* Support the field‑service team and maintain internal operational processes.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
* Commercial tickets: either COCP1 or COdNCO1.
* Commercial catering tickets: highly desirable.
* Domestic gas qualifications: desirable.
* Experience working within commercial environments.
* Driving licence.
* IPAF and PASMA certification.
* OFTEC certification desirable.
* Multi‑skilled experience within minor electrical/fabric tasks.
