Role: Waste and Facilities Supervisor
Contract length: Initial 3 months.
Pay Rate: 17ph
Location: Slough
Job Purpose:
SRG is seeking a Facilities Supervisor/Team Leader responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of facilities operative and cleaning teams. This role involves managing two teams of facilities and cleaning staff, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Job Accountabilities:
1. Supervise and guide a team of facilities and cleaning staff, including task assignment, performance monitoring, and training development.
2. Manage daily rotas to ensure adequate resource allocation as per contractual requirements.
3. Foster a positive, collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
4. Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals, priorities, and address issues or concerns.
5. Collect waste from various site areas and process waste according to type, including collection in wheelie bins, trollies, and drums.
6. Operate vertical baling equipment to process cardboard and plastic waste occasionally.
The experience you will need:
Essential:
* Experience and knowledge of waste and facilities management.
* Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a strong work ethic in a busy manufacturing environment.
* Educated to GCSE level in literacy and numeracy.
