We have an excellent opportunity for a HVAC Engineer working with our Client in the Nuclear Industry.
Various base locations will be considered
The successful Candidate will be responsible for:
Providing the site based focal point for HVAC related issues that arise during manufacture, construction and commissioning and liaising with the Responsible
Designer where design intent may be affected.
Reviewing and responding to site generated and supplier technical queries, concession requests, commissioning reservations, etc.
Managing HVAC instructed change either on site or via the Responsible Designer, as appropriate
Managing drawing configuration for the HVAC deliverables through the redline process or through the Responsible Designer
Interfacing with appropriate Design Lead Engineers, Package Managers, Section Engineers, Quality, Commissioning and Handover teams
Maintaining the configured HVAC design
Advising Construction on installation methods and constructability
Participate in constructability design reviews
Act as custodian of design & engineering documentation on site.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A Degree qualified HVAC Engineer or demonstrable equivalent underpinning knowledge and understanding and discipline relevant professional experience.
Proven experience in HVAC engineering & design.
Good all-round technical design experience using British and international standards and Eurocodes.
Ability to work autonomously and manage your own time and workload to deliver against agreed milestones.
Ability to work effectively as a team member within a multidisciplinary team liaising directly with team members and the Client.
Good verbal and written communication and technical writing skills.
SC Clearance is desirable, or the ability to obtain Security Clearance
UK National (none dual citizen).
Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations
Experience in high hazard industrial / complex project
Experienced using Navisworks
Experience in working in Common Data Environment / Building Information Modelling (BIM)
ENHANCED EXPERIENCE
Construction site experience
Knowledge of AWE processes and procedures
Glovebox experience
Working in a dynamic regulated environment I.e. nuclear, defence etc
