Asset Manager – Commercial Property Portfolio. Client side
Up to £64,000.00 plus bonus & benefits. Depending on experience.
Location: Manchester or Glasgow
THE ROLE
In collaboration with our client, a leading Real Estate Investment Manager, UFR is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to oversee a substantial logistics portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in driving asset value through proactive lease management, marketing, refurbishments, inspections, dilapidations and financial oversight.
This role requires close coordination with internal teams, external agents, and legal professionals to ensure compliance and performance across the portfolio.
DAY TO DAY
Lease Management
• Manage lease events including rent reviews, renewals, break options, and re-gears.
• Liaise with external agents as needed, managing fee agreements and processes.
• Ensure accurate documentation and legal compliance, maintaining up-to-date records.
Database & Financial Oversight
• Work with the Property Management Accountants to maintain the Yardi database.
• Ensure all property and tenant records are current and accurate.
Marketing & Letting
• Appoint and oversee letting/sales agents for vacancies or disposals.
• Develop marketing strategies and budgets.
• Manage transactions from agent proposal through to legal completion.
Sales & Acquisitions
• Conduct property inspections and lead legal/technical due diligence for acquisitions.
• Instruct and manage legal advisors throughout the acquisition process.
Refurbishment Projects
• Prepare recommendations and cost assessments for asset improvements.
• Appoint and manage design teams and contractors to deliver refurbishment schemes.
Dilapidations
• Initiate and manage dilapidations processes in line with lease terms.
• Manage the ongoing process to maximize the company’s position.
YOU:
• Proven background in asset management or a related commercial real estate role.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in property management and financial systems (ideally Yardi).
• In-depth knowledge of lease terms, property law, and compliance requirements.
• Capable of managing projects end-to-end, including refurbishments and lettings.
• Strong analytical skills with experience preparing financial reports and cost assessments.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on abilities.
