Sub Agent - Construction Site Leadership
The Sub Agent will be based on our Flood Alleviation Scheme, valued at over £25m, involving piling, RC works, earthworks, and civils. The role has overall responsibility for a specific site, typically a large-scale project, serving as the construction leader on the ground. The Sub Agent manages the overall day-to-day supervision of the construction site, monitors site preparation prior to project launch, and oversees the safe and efficient operation of the site throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities
1. Participate in compiling the initial programme and maintain awareness of weekly targets.
2. Plan and oversee site setup, ensuring facilities are in place prior to project launch.
3. Manage relationships with subcontractors onsite.
4. Ensure adherence to HSEQS protocols at all times.
5. Maintain quality control procedures.
6. Ensure TWR is in place and up to date.
7. Monitor onsite energy and waste data.
8. Implement an efficient registration system for individuals entering and leaving the site.
9. Flag issues with Contract Management/Commercial Teams that could impact project delivery.
10. Drive project pace and plan fieldwork.
11. Coordinate and prioritize onsite activities.
12. Manage a team of foremen and other site staff.
13. Demonstrate strong people management skills and industrial relations practices.
14. Handle conflicting priorities and stakeholders, especially subcontractors.
15. Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, adapting style as needed.
16. Build consensus and manage subcontractor supervision.
17. Bring over ten years of experience across various projects, with a track record of delivering medium to large-scale projects.
18. Preferably have flood/water sector experience.
19. Possess a trade or technical background.
20. Hold IOSH or equivalent HSE management training.
21. Complete training in Temporary Works & Excavation Safety, Permitting, Working at Heights & Scaffolding, Lifting & Cranage operations, and other site-specific HSEQS requirements.
22. Be familiar with new construction technologies and BIM strategy.
