About the Role
We are seeking a Fostering Support Worker to collaborate closely with supervising social workers, local authorities, and other professionals in supporting foster placements.
The responsibilities include:
1. Planning and executing activities tailored to the needs of looked after children.
2. Conducting support groups for both looked after children and birth children.
3. Providing support sessions during various times including day, evening, or weekends.
4. Transporting young people to activities and appointments, and supervising family contact sessions.
Applicants should have:
* Experience working with children and young people, paid or voluntary.
* Administrative skills including data entry and report writing.
* Ability to handle challenging behavior and resolve conflicts.
* Capability to maintain professional boundaries.
* Strong communication and administrative skills, with the ability to build professional relationships.
