Marketing Specialist
Location: Windsor & Maidenhead area
Role Overview
We’re looking for a passionate and creative Marketing Specialist to join The Aftershow team. This is a volunteer/unpaid role to begin with, ideal for someone eager to gain hands‑on experience in event marketing, expand their portfolio, and build connections in the cultural and live entertainment industries. The role will cover both marketing promotion and social media management, with the expectation of attending events to capture photo and video content for online platforms. Travel expenses will be compensated, but we are seeking someone based in proximity to Windsor & Maidenhead for ease of attendance.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver marketing campaigns that boost online ticket sales through social media, email, and digital platforms
* Design posters, flyers, and other physical promotional materials for distribution at venues and in the community
* Create engaging digital content (graphics, copy, press releases) that reflects The Aftershow’s identity
* Manage social media presence to grow audience engagement and brand awareness
* Attend events to film and photograph content for live posting and future promotional use
* Collaborate with event producers and partners to ensure consistent messaging and visibility
* Track campaign performance and provide insights to improve future promotions
What We’re Looking For
* Interest in event marketing, cultural programming, or live entertainment
* Strong communication and storytelling skills
* Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools is a plus, but not required
* Creative mindset with an eye for design (experience with Canva, Adobe, or similar tools is welcome)
* Comfortable filming and photographing content at live events
* Self‑motivated and able to work independently
* Experience in marketing or events is welcome, but not mandatory — we’re keen to support someone looking to gain experience in the field
* Possibility to work on starting a YouTube/TikTok channel
