Grassland Agro sources, produces, and sells a complete range of conventional and specialty fertilizers, soil conditioning products, animal mineral blocks, biostimulants, and dairy hygiene products. Part of Groupe Roullier, our R&D is based at the Global Innovation Center in St. Malo. We focus on delivering superior technical advice on-farm to support our growth, which depends on product quality and expert service.
We are seeking a Regional Sales and Business Development Manager for the Northern Ireland region. The successful candidate will develop long-term customer relationships, connect with industry stakeholders, and report to the Speciality Business Commercial Manager. Responsibilities include:
1. Developing and implementing strategic and operational plans to maximize sales and customer service.
2. Presenting the product range to match regional market needs and opportunities.
3. Optimizing distribution, operations, and costs in the region.
4. Managing relationships with trade customers, including product support, customer service, credit control, and debtor management.
5. Overseeing sales administration policies and procedures.
6. Supporting and managing the technical sales team, including recruitment, target setting, and performance management.
7. Motivating the team to optimize sales and service.
8. Promoting company policies, including HR, health and safety, pricing, and terms.
9. Participating actively in company development through involvement in management and operational teams.
Qualifications and skills required:
* Degree in Agriculture and/or Business.
* Proven experience as a sales manager or representative with a track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
* Technical knowledge of the agri-sector.
* Strong commercial acumen and relationship management skills at trade and farm levels.
* Leadership, mentoring, coaching, and people management abilities.
* Effective communication and presentation skills.
* Problem-solving attitude.
* Excellent organization and time management.
* Valid driver's license.
