Job Summary

Workshop Manager

We are a fast-growing national automotive company offering superb training and development opportunities. We are currently seeking a talented Workshop Manager to work on a full time, permanent basis for our growing team.

As Workshop Manager you are expected to encourage, lead and motivate your team of technicians, manage their workload and carrying out the fitting of tyres and mechanical repair of a wide range of customer vehicles and provide products and services to a high standard, complying with the company operational rules and guidelines, whether this is on site or off site. In return you will have the opportunity to earn bonus, excellent discounts on products and services, and annual leave of 24 days plus bank holidays.

As a Workshop Manager you will have:

1. Experience with a proven background within the retail and/or automotive sector.
2. The ability to lead and supervise a team of individuals.
3. The ability to demonstrate success at in developing and maintaining a positive sales culture.
4. A strong customer focus with the ability to encourage the team to deliver a consistent and positive customer experience.
5. A full UK driving licence.
6. Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage workloads effectively
7. A proven ability to lead and coach a team to deliver and complete tasks within an agreed time scale.
8. The ability to lead from the front to promote our core values, principles and high standards throughout the business.
9. The willingness to constantly develop and improve your own performance

Your responsibilities will include:

10. Assist the Centre Manager with the achievement of Company Business Objectives.
11. Ensure customer contact is maintained to a high standard.
12. Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard.
13. Ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to
14. Ensure all stock is checked regularly to maintain an accurate stock profile and reduce availability issues.
15. Ensure that stock deliveries are stored and booked into stock on the day of delivery.
16. Monitor the technical, fitting standards and quality of workmanship in the centre and inform the Centre Manager of any issues/requirements.
17. Maximising workflow through the workshop to achieve maximum efficiencies
18. Creating and fostering a positive customer service experience
19. Assisting with training and mentoring of employees
