Location: Bristol, Burton-on-Trent, Glasgow, Leatherhead
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience

We are currently seeking a Senior Complex Systems Engineer to join our Digital Systems Assurance group. This is an opportunity for a seasoned systems engineer or assurance consultant to make a strategic impact across high-profile, technically demanding projects. What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Complex Systems Engineer, you will:
* Lead the development and assurance of safety-critical system architectures and designs.
* Provide strategic systems engineering direction and guidance on project delivery.
* Engage directly with senior stakeholders to shape and deliver technical strategies.
* Develop and review artefacts supporting safety and regulatory compliance (e.g. ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254).
* Translate client objectives into deliverable engineering solutions, integrating systems engineering, safety, and certification processes.
* Support business development through opportunity capture and proposal leadership.
* Work on cutting-edge projects which may include integration of autonomous air systems and national programmes such as INVICTUS.
Who We're Looking For
You're an experienced engineer or consultant with:
* A proven track record in safety-critical systems development, assurance, or certification, ideally across aerospace, defence, or high-integrity domains.
* In-depth knowledge of standards such as ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, DO-326A, IEC 61508, and/or MOD standards ,
* Proficiency with MBSE, architecture modelling, and tools such as Cameo, Sparx EA, and SysML/UML.
* Experience operating within MOD acquisition frameworks or supporting industry primes/OEMs.
* Strong project leadership, communication, and client engagement skills.
You May Also Bring
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working toward registration.
* A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Experience influencing system design and assurance strategy at programme level.
