Key Responsibilities: Deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Lower Key Stage 2 (Year 3). Plan, deliver, and assess learning effectively, adapting to meet the needs of all pupils. Promote high standards of behaviour and encourage independence, curiosity, and resilience in young learners. Track pupil progress and use assessment data to inform future teaching. Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. Contribute to the wider life of the school and support a positive, inclusive school culture. Essential Criteria: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3. Strong understanding of the Lower Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment expectations. Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies. Ability to motivate, inspire, and support all learners. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Desirable: Experience teaching Year 3 curriculum content, including transition from Key Stage 1. Knowledge of SEND and strategies for effective inclusion. Familiarity with supporting pupils in developing independence, stamina, and key learning skills in lower KS2. Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities or curriculum enrichment.
