Job Description
A leading non-profit organisation is looking for a Communications Manager on a 12 month fixed term-contract. Working as part of the external communications team, this role looks to provide strategic communication and planning expertise for the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
* Build relationships with experts to align communications with their goals
* Lead and support comms plans for priority programmes
* Coordinate planning and horizon scanning across teams
* Oversee monitoring and evaluation, including dashboards and reporting
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to inform comms strategy
* Ensure timely and effective delivery of comms activities
* Champion strategic, insight-driven, and goal-aligned communications
* Create content, key messages, and support media and stakeholder engagement
Person specification:
1. Professional qualification in communications, marketing, or a related field
2. Experience in the higher education, research, or scientific sector
3. Proven experience developing and delivering insight-led communications plans, with a focus on measuring impact
