Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Finance Assistant on a permanent basis in Truro. This role will support the finance function by managing accounting queries, processing payments and assisting with data reporting, while being part of a happy and successful finance team.
Key Duties:
1. Manage and handle all payments and refunds, including cash, cheques and BACS, as well as banking and reconciliations.
2. Process payment requests and issue appropriate documentation in line with agreed timescales.
3. Help to build finance reports.
4. Manage and process the creditor ledger and bank reconciliations.
5. Handle all claims recoveries and salvage receipts, including reconciliation to the policy administration system.
6. Maintain and manage the aged debtor list.
7. Assist with data analysis and reporting requirements where necessary.
8. Handle and prepare all monies received for banking in accordance with company procedures.
