This is a 39-week sessional post working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days.

Monday - Thursday, 08:30-16:00
Friday, 08:30-12:45
Starting and finishing times are flexible.

An opportunity has arisen for a school Business Administrator to lead the administrative function at Stoneyhill Primary School which encompasses a wide variety of tasks and a high standard of customer service for all our school community and stakeholders. The role requires excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel to support the financial monitoring and reporting required to assist the Head Teacher to manage the school budget effectively. Applications from experienced administrators who can demonstrate they are confident using spreadsheets to track financial transactions and with some HR or school experience would be welcomed. If you are well organised and can multi-task whilst being able to organise others; feel you are capable of using your initiative under pressure to meet deadlines and can deal with people on all levels this varied role offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a small team and school community.
Stoneyhill Primary School was built in 1996 and is a non-denominational primary school situated at the west end of Musselburgh. The school caters for children from ages 3 to 12. There are 9 classes from P1-P7 in the school with 191 pupils expected to start the 25_26 School Session. There is also a 48 week nursery catering for 3 and 4 year olds with two groups of 24 children attending half the week each.
Set within a pleasing landscaped area, the main school is a semi-open plan design. Eight class bays open onto a central multi-purpose group activity area. There are four closed classrooms, with two used for whole school music and Article 31 Playroom. In addition there is a Library/Meeting room, offices, medical room and sports hall. The school is accessible to those with physical disabilities. The school also has a kitchen, which enables the pupils to have a packed lunch or a cafeteria hot meal of the day.
There are attractive grounds around the school with a garden which the Parent Council are helping to develop.
Closed circuit television and an effective intruder alarm system protect the school.
