Electronics Production Manager Are you an experienced Electronics Production Manager looking for the opportunity to lead a high-performing production and test function within a highly specialised engineering and manufacturing environment?We are working with an advanced engineering organisation seeking a hands-on Electronics Production Manager to oversee the production, testing and delivery of complex electronic and electromechanical systems, ensuring products consistently meet stringent quality, safety and performance standards before customer delivery.This is an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Production Manager to take ownership of a technically advanced production environment, driving operational performance, improving production and test processes, and developing a strong engineering and manufacturing team.The Role Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Electronics Production Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the electronics production and test department, overseeing production technicians, test engineers and team leaders within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This is a leadership role requiring a strong balance of people management, manufacturing oversight, technical understanding and continuous improvement capability.Responsibilities will include: Managing the day-to-day operations of the electronics production and test departmentLeading, mentoring and developing production, assembly and test teamsCoordinating manufacturing and electronic test activities in line with production schedules and customer delivery targetsEnsuring products are assembled, tested and validated to required quality and performance standardsDriving improvements across production efficiency, workflow and electronic test processesSupporting fault diagnosis, root cause analysis and corrective action activities at PCB and system levelCollaborating closely with engineering, quality and supply chain teams to resolve production and test issuesSupporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and transition into manufactureDeveloping and maintaining production documentation, work instructions and test proceduresMonitoring KPIs, production performance and departmental outputEnsuring compliance with company quality, safety and engineering proceduresManaging production and test equipment maintenance and calibration activitiesDriving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the departmentSupporting workforce planning, training and team development activitiesWhat Were Looking For We are interested in experienced production leaders with a strong electronics manufacturing background and the ability to lead teams within technically advanced engineering environments.Suitable candidates are likely to have:Strong background within electronics manufacturing, production and test environmentsPrevious experience within a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or similar leadership roleGood understanding of electronics assembly, PCB testing and fault diagnosisExperience working with analogue, digital and power electronic systemsStrong understanding of production processes, quality standards and manufacturing workflowsExperience developing or improving production and test proceduresStrong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and leadership capabilityExperience managing technical teams within engineering or manufacturing environmentsA proactive and continuous improvement-focused mindsetDesirable Experience Experience with high-voltage or switch mode power supply systemsExperience within regulated or safety-critical engineering industriesExposure to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or operational improvement methodologiesUnderstanding of automated production or electronic test equipmentQualifications HND, HNC or Degree qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related disciplineWhy Apply?
