Principal Engineer – Civil role:
Responsible for delivering high-quality engineering designs that contribute to the company's profitability while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Work closely with senior leadership and be tasked with coordinating and producing design documents and drawings for various projects.
Principal Engineer – Civil responsibilities:
Produce cost-effective design layouts that meet project requirements, are easily constructible, and minimise overall costs while considering design time, materials and potential impacts on other disciplines.
Provide estimates and feedback to the proposals department.
Follow established procedures and processes to contribute to the department's ongoing development, and assist in developing and monitoring them.
Coordinate design efforts across all disciplines.
Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
Operate within a customer-focused environment where meeting the needs of all stakeholders, including end users and internal departments.
Focus on continuous personal and professional growth.
Provide leadership and development for staff.
Ensure that designs incorporate environmental considerations. Ensure designs comply with all health and safety regulations.
Principal Engineer – Civil requirements:
Experience in leading design teams for water and sewage treatment plants.
Professional institution membership.
Relevant Bachelor's degree.
Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic layouts.
Capable of processing and understanding complex information quickly.
Capable of delivering clear technical presentations.
Driving license
Experience of working on design and construct projects using digital design (desired).
Structural Engineering understanding and experience. (desired).
