Are you ready to take the lead in a dynamic sales environment, managing a key product portfolio and driving regional success? My client are looking for a Specification Manager to promote their roofing systems within a defined sales area. This is a strategic, field-based role focused on delivering exceptional commercial results while building long-lasting customer relationships.
My client last year achieved ÂŁ150m in turnover with around 350 employees in the UK. This role in an integral part of their growth plans, focusing on new build and refurbishment projects, dealing with architects, local authorities, designers as well as building relationships with contractors.
đ Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive area business plan to achieve sales and margin targets.
* Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed in collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and technical support teams.
* Conduct sales and technical presentations to support business development.
* Identify and appoint approved contractors to service the designated region.
* Gather market intelligence and competitor insights to inform strategy.
* Ensure full compliance with health & safety and company policies, including competition regulations.
* Plan and prioritise customer visits effectively to maximise impact.
* Support the technical team in growing an âapproved contractorâ network.

* Proven success in field-based sales or business development roles.
* Exceptional communication skillsâboth written and verbal.
* Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen.
* Excellent negotiation and decision-making abilities.

* Confident interacting at all levels, from site to boardroom.
* Industry knowledge in roofing or construction systems is highly advantageous.
