The Division of GI Services includes the medical and surgical specialties of hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB), colorectal, upper GI cancer, obesity, nutrition and vascular services. The Division is responsible for a 50-bed ward, Endoscopy Unit and a GI Physiology Unit. We see around 700 patients in out-patient clinics and perform around 300 inpatient procedures per week. Our administration team are vital to the smooth running of these services.
Role
The Pathway Assistant role is an exciting opportunity to join our administration team in the Endoscopy Unit, which provides first-class administration and reception services to the Division. As part of our Patient Pathway team, you will be responsible for greeting and arriving patients on reception, organising patient appointments and processing clinical correspondence in a timely manner.
Requirements
Successful candidates will have previous administration experience and either experience of working in an NHS organisation or a desire to work within a healthcare organisation. They will be able to communicate with a range of patients and colleagues and possess excellent team working, negotiation and organisation skills. Above all they will be committed to helping us deliver excellent patient care.
