Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the team in Brockenhurst, Hampshire. This is a new and varied role suited to a person who is able to balance project work with the day to day demands of managing a finance function.
Heading up a team of two, you will report directly to the CFO at our parent company whilst working alongside the senior team within the hotel.
Having recently changed ownership, we are seeking a person who can adapt how data is managed/produced to integrate effectively with that of the owning company. You will be responsible for VAT, HMRC, cashflow forecasting and overseeing production of the P&L.
You will have responsibility for some commercial management activities including procurement (Procurewiz) and ensuring best value utility contracts.
Our ideal candidate will be/have:
· Chartered or CIMA qualified
· Prior experience within a hospitality environment
· Able to demonstrate business improvements
· Familiarity with Sun Systems
· People management skills and an approachable manner
