An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered healthcare professional to join the Learning Resource Team as a Band 6 Training and Quality Facilitator.
You will work alongside our existing Practice Learning Facilitators to drive the quality education agenda, supporting to maintain placement quality and providing support to students and mentors. You will also support the provision of high quality clinical and non-clinical training both internal to the organisation and externally.
You must be passionate about practice learning and education and committed to partnership working with stakeholders and educational institutions.
You need to be able to demonstrate the ability to develop others and have a commitment to raising the standards of our health and social care workforce.

Main duties of the job
The Training and Quality Facilitator role will support the Learning and Development team in ensuring the quality of learning within the organisation.
The role aims to enhance the quality of the practice placement experience and support the provision of clinical and non-clinical training within a variety of healthcare settings both internal and external to the organisation.
The Training and Quality Facilitator will:
o Maximise the number of students who can be supported within clinical practice areas.
o Ensure that the student experience is of the highest quality and enables the greatest benefit from each clinical learning experience.
o Enhance and support the role of the Assessor and Supervisor / clinical educator.
o Assist students in difficulty and liaise with the Health Education Institutions, Practice Learning Facilitator and link lecturers to formulate SMART action plans that support both student and mentor.
o Plan, develop and deliver a range of clinical and non-clinical training that is evidenced based and highlights best practice, utilising evaluations to review and meet the needs of the organisation.
o Advise, develop and ensure quality of internal and external learning opportunities to facilitate excellent patient care.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered healthcare professional with a current registration e.g. NMC, HCPC
* Relevant post registration qualifications as detailed in Job description
* Possesses a relevant teaching / training qualification e.g. Award in Education and Training (AET) or Certificate in Education and Training (CET)
* Educated to degree level
* working towards or commitment to gain a recognised advanced teaching award e.g. Professional Graduate Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Cert Ed
Knowledge
* Knowledge of national standards and best practice e.g. NICE guidelines, education and training standards
* Knowledge of Quality Monitoring processes in relation to student placements, role specific assessor / educator standards for assessment in line with regulatory bodies e.g. NMC, HCPC
* Knowledge and understanding of evaluation methods ensuring systems are put in place to monitor the quality of internal and external training.
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the NHS learning agenda
* Knowledge of current pre-registration healthcare curriculum
* Knowledge of the PARE tool
Experience
* Current professional registration e.g. NMC / HCPC
* Significant experience in a clinical role in a healthcare organisation
* Ability to plan and organise own and others workloads
* Evidence of continuous personal and professional development
* Previous experience of teaching / training and assessing in the workplace
* Previous experience of assessing healthcare students
* Ability to deliver training in a wide range of clinical / non-clinical skills
* Excellent presentation skills
* Ability to produce high quality training materials
* Ability to maintain accurate records
* Evidence of partnership working with Health Education Institutions
