We are looking for
A Production Technician to serve the packhouse and processing unit with graded product of the correct quality whilst running/maintaining the grading facility, staff and associated processes
Working hours are 05:15am to 5:30pm on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern
The position?
1. Carry out and document start up checks, changeovers (including organic transitions), and cleaning to prevent cross-contamination.
2. Calibrate and maintain NIR graders, cameras (including Q-EYE), weigh cells, and related equipment.
3. Act as first point of contact for grader breakdowns and coordinate repairs with Engineering.
4. Monitor grading line productivity and product quality, escalating issues where targets are not met.
5. Troubleshoot technical issues and support root cause analysis of breakdowns.
6. Perform quality control inspections and ensure compliance with internal and customer standards.
7. Clean, inspect, and replace grader components (beds, blades, NIR cups, screens), maintaining accurate records.
8. Ensure correct use of grading screens and organise repairs when required.
9. Maintain high housekeeping, labelling, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
