Being an Engagement Assistant is a rewarding experience, working with the Engagement Coordinator on a project that is aimed at getting local young women and girls active, using the Llangollen Canal.
The role is full of variety and will include setting up events, supporting on activities, supporting pop up talks and school assemblies and stalls in the local area and much more.
If you feel passionate about giving young women the opportunity to feel the benefits of exercise and spending time outside, then this role is for you. We expect you to have lots of fun whilst also being resilient to the weather as much of it will be spent outside. We'd love for you to be a bubbly, enthusiastic person who can encourage others to try their best. You will be required to travel locally and some times lunch or snacks will be included!
Some of the events might involve watersports, running, walking, cycling or yoga and although you're not expected to be a professional at any of these, you would need to be encouraging and show a positive attitude.
This role requires you to be available on weekdays, evenings and weekends but you aren't required to give consistent availability, just regular presence between now and the end of March 26.
