Event Manager

We have a fantastic opening for an Event Manager to join our Exhibitions Event Team.
You will be working at the UKs largest event space and number one exhibition venue. Home to your favorite shows and voted for the AEO venue of the year 4 times, we host over 500 events each year, welcoming 2.3 million visitors and over 45,000 exhibiting companies
About The Role
This role will plan, own and manage the delivery of the portfolio of events at the National Exhibition Centre and where appropriate to manage and deliver trade and consumer exhibitions on behalf of third-party clients to the highest quality in the most cost-effective way.
Day To Day You Will
* Create and manage Project Management Plans for exhibitions and events, coordinating internal service teams to ensure smooth delivery.
* Lead on-site operations during build, open, and breakdown phases, oversee pre-works and hall readiness, act as escalation for all venue services for your event.
* Maintain accurate budgets and forecasts and identify upselling opportunities to maximise event revenue.
* Prioritise the safety of the evet ensuring all mitigations are in place for public safety and ensure governance processes are followed.
* Build strong relationships with organisers and exhibitors, support ticketing operations and layout/design discussions, and ensure clear communication across departments.
About You
Our Ideal Candidate will be:
* NEBOSH-qualified in Health & Safety and Fire not essential
* Skilled in MS Office and familiar with NEC Incident & Emergency Plan.
* 2 plus years in operations management within exhibitions/live events, with expertise in forecasting and crowd safety.
* Effective communicator and creative problem solver with a customer-focused approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
