Caravan Chassis Operative - Day Shift | HU7
£14.44 per hour | Monday-Thursday | 7:30am-5:45pm
We're currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Caravan Chassis Operative to join a busy and well‑established caravan manufacturing team based in the HU7 area. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands‑on, physical work and operating within a fast‑paced production environment.
Shift & Pay
Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 5:45pm
Pay Rate: £14.44 per hour
Long weekend every week - Friday off
Key Responsibilities
As a Caravan Chassis Operative, your duties will include:
Assembling and preparing caravan chassis components on the production line
Fitting axles, brakes, and running gear to chassis frames
Using hand and power tools to complete mechanical assembly tasks
Working from basic technical drawings and instructions
Carrying out quality checks to ensure all chassis meet company standards
Assisting with loading, moving, and positioning chassis safely
Supporting other areas of production when required
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
Working to daily production targets and following instructions from team leaders
Requirements
Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or mechanical role - essential
Experience within caravan, automotive, or engineering environments - desirable
Confident using hand and power tools
Ability to follow instructions and work from basic drawings
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Reliable, hardworking, and able to work with minimal supervision
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
