Job Summary: The purpose of the role is to act as a strong and empathetic Leader to the Finance team, and valued Business Partner to the SpecTec Management Team, offering insight and facilitating strong, evidence-based decision-making to enable the business to meet its growth and profitability objectives. Job Description: In the role of Head of Finance, you will: Business partner with the SpecTec Shipping Management team, including: Overseeing the reporting of financial performance against targets Providing Finance Business Partnering to the CEO and Management Team, subject matter expertise and strategic advice to drive improvements in this performance Coordinating the contract and commercial account reviews in order to drive growth and profitability improvements Ensuring the alignment of the VBU’s financial targets to the Group’s financial targets Coordinating / overseeing the Quarterly Business Review process Contributing to the development of the SpecTec Shipping Strategic Plan, modelling the impact of Strategy in the short, medium and long-term and facilitating course corrections where necessary Oversee the SpecTec Shipping Finance Team, including: Providing support, direction, guidance and mentorship to direct reports and the wider Finance team within the SpecTec Shipping Finance Team Providing subject matter expertise to the Finance Team Maintain Financial control for the SpecTec Shipping business through: Ensure statutory and tax compliance requirements are met for all legal entities within SpecTec Shipping Oversee Financial risk management, including Balance Sheet integrity for all entities and ensuring all material risks and opportunities are visible to the VBU and Group Leadership Oversee the external audit process for all entities, ensuring all accounts filed on-time with unqualified opinions Oversee / facilitate internal audit and drive improvements and compliance in-line with feedback received Drive Commercial awareness and facilitate strong decision-making through: Creating and maintaining robust Finance models for Sales opportunities, business forecasting and ad-hoc business cases as required Supporting and challenging stakeholders at all levels of the organisation Providing training to both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders Worker Type: Regular Number of Openings Available: 1
