About the role
Working alongside the project manager you will be providing administrative support to the Real world Evidence Unit and Bio statistics research group based at the Leicester Diabetes Centre. This will involve being the first point of contact from internal and external customers students and academic staff, signposting and handling enquiries as appropriate.
This is a great opportunity for someone with general administrative experience, looking to develop a career in a research environment.
A key part of your role will be handling mailbox enquiries, answering and / or directing their queries in a responsive and helpful manner. You will also be involved in the maintaining accurate records of activity, income and project milestones, supporting with organising meetings and events and any other administrative tasks.
This is a Part-time (0.6FTE, 21 hours per week), fixed term contract for 24 months.
About you
We are looking for a candidate with existing administrative experience in a busy environment desirably but not essential in a higher education setting. You will have strong organisational, record keeping and clerical skills, working with accuracy and attention to detail, with experience in data entry and record-keeping.
Great communication skills are essential, with the ability to give and receive information effectively using a variety of methods to communicate with a wide range of university staff, students and agents.
Most importantly, you have a passion for providing a first class service, and are committed to exceeding expectations in a fast paced environment.
