The Role

Are you passionate about making a difference behind the scenes in healthcare? You will be responsible for leading on international recruitment for NHS Lanarkshire and developing and implementing marketing and recruitment strategies in order to support our recruitment objectives.

You will contribute towards building a strong presence within the Board as well as linking with the NHS Scotland Centre for Workforce Supply team and will be instrumental in developing and executing activities to access local, national and international healthcare professionals to meet current and future vacancy activity. This will include engaging with the NHS Lanarkshire’s Workforce Planning Manager to identify opportunities to support current and future staffing priorities for the board.

You will apply specialist knowledge in the development and management of processes and campaign programmes with a particular and immediate focus on the recruitment of local, national and international candidates for known ‘hard to fill’ specialties e.g. Medical, Nursing and AHP gaps.

In addition, you will work closely with, and provide cross-cover for the Senior Recruitment Advisor (Assessment Centres and Psychometric Testing), ensuring flexible support during peak activity periods.

You will also assist the Recruitment Manager in providing professional leadership to the recruitment team while also supporting all aspects of the general recruitment process as required.

What we'll need you to bring

* Postholder should possess a postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management, Organisational Development or equivalent.
* Be a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.
* Have significant HR/OD experience.
* The postholder must hold a current/valid driving licence.
* Working knowledge of Human Resource Management and employment legislation.
* Supervisory experience.
* Experience of managing high volume transactional activity.
* Knowledge of change management.
* Well developed interpersonal skills.
* Ability to balance conflicting demands with the pressure that is incurred.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proficient IT skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
* Ability to ensure confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times.
* Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.


Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Kirklands Hospital - NHS Lanarkshire Board Headquarters.

The working pattern for this role will be Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm with a hybrid working model.
