Job Description: DevOps Engineer at Waracle
Waracle, based in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our digital technology consultancy. We serve ambitious clients, helping them innovate through complex IT transformation projects, from strategy to operations.
This hybrid role offers flexibility to work from any of our Scotland offices (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee) with travel as needed.
Role Overview: As a mid-level DevOps Engineer, you will build, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure and deployment processes, ensuring application reliability, scalability, and security. Collaboration with development teams and client engagement are key.
Responsibilities include:
1. Understanding and translating client DevOps requirements.
2. Presenting technical solutions to clients.
3. Configuring and integrating DevOps tools and developing automation scripts.
4. Implementing CI/CD pipelines.
5. Managing infrastructure with automation tools and monitoring system performance.
6. Applying security practices like vulnerability scanning.
7. Collaborating with development teams to align DevOps processes.
8. Monitoring systems and leading incident responses.
9. Documenting configurations and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
* Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
* Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
* Experience with CI/CD tools and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS).
* Scripting skills in Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.
* Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Azure Monitor).
* Jira administration skills.
* Proactive learning attitude and excellent communication skills.
