About the Role:
As a Senior Social Worker at Wakefield Council, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering high-quality social care services. You'll provide leadership and guidance to a team of social workers, working collaboratively to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, adults, and families.
We are seeking individuals who can bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in social work, who are committed to safeguarding, and who have the ability to manage complex cases with confidence and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:
5. Leading casework for children, families, or vulnerable adults with complex needs.
6. Providing expert advice and support to colleagues and other professionals.
7. Managing a varied caseload, ensuring the highest standards of practice and care.
8. Promoting service improvements and supporting the development of social work practice within the team.
What We’re Looking For:
9. Experienced Social Workers with a background in children’s services, adult social care, or both.
10. Strong Leadership Skills: Experience of mentoring and supporting junior staff.
11. Passion for Social Justice: A genuine desire to improve the lives of vulnerable individuals and families.
12. Excellent Communication: Ability to build effective relationships with service users, colleagues, and external agencies.
