Celeros Flow Technology, LLC is a leader in flow control solutions. The Projects Team Manager will be a key member of the leadership team and responsible for safe, efficient operation of the team and project delivery.
General Summary
Leading the Projects team, the Projects Team Manager acts as the first line manager, accountable for people management, workflow, performance and development. The role involves allocating daily tasks, managing team performance, maintaining standards and KPIs, and progressing contracts to meet or exceed margin, on‑time delivery and customer expectations.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities (essential Functions)
- Maintain a positive and safe working environment.
- Act as a key member of the Leadership team in Hillington.
- Drive positive KPI results, ensuring alignment with company values.
- Coach, develop and performance‑manage team members.
- Serve as the primary focal point for all contracts under direct control.
- Identify and implement improvements within the function and role.
- Ensure all projects are delivered safely and without incident.
- Overall management and control of all assigned projects from contract award to delivery.
- Coordinate with Commercial, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing and Shipping to achieve milestone adherence.
- Functional owner of Trade Compliance within the Hillington team.
- Arrange and support key customer visits and witness activities for projects under direct control.
- Create and maintain high‑level plans for specific contracts where required.
- Work with functional areas to resolve delivery plan issues (escalate when appropriate).
- Manage project change through the change/variation order process, capturing deviations and recovering additional costs.
- Delegate tasks to appropriate personnel and manage project resources.
- Highlight bottlenecks and constraints within the Value Stream.
- Provide internal and external project status reporting.
- Support the bid process where appropriate.
People Manager Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all employees positively, driving engagement and motivation.
- Create trusted relationships, understand employee values, and support their personal aspirations aligned with team objectives.
- Conduct open and honest coaching conversations to identify strengths and development areas.
- Help employees broaden their network or advance to more challenging roles.
- With HR guidance, create and maintain a competency matrix and training/development plans.
- Ensure training and development plans are actioned.
- Provide health and wellbeing support and manage sickness absence according to company policy.
- Support performance and development planning processes and address performance issues.
- Facilitate regular conversations and track progress against objectives.
Education, Skills And Experience
- Strong focus on driving the customer delivery plan.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict management and the ability to set standards.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills at all levels within the company and to external customers.
- Proficiency in SAP and Excel for daily use.
- Good numeracy skills and high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of high‑level planning, scheduling and project management.
- Proven track record of building effective teams, driving results, and ensuring strong team management.
