A respected and well-established organisation based in Sale, Greater Manchester, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join its Risk Management Team. This is a key role within the business, offering the opportunity to make a real and lasting impact by ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
With a strong focus on data protection, health & safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance, you will play a vital role in supporting both construction projects and consultancy operations. You will help uphold ethical practices, mitigate risk, and embed a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, review, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
Ensure company policies and processes align with industry best practice and applicable legislation.
Maintain compliance with RICS Regulations for Firms, reviewing and updating practices as required.
Work collaboratively with department leads to review and update company manuals, policies, and guidance documents.
Identify compliance risks, conduct internal audits and risk assessments, and recommend practical improvements.
Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audits, training, and corrective actions.
Monitor regulatory changes and provide clear, timely advice to senior management.
Act as a key contributor to maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 accreditations.
Manage and coordinate responses to regulatory bodies and client audit information requests.
Oversee and maintain company memberships and databases, including Constructionline, CHAS, and similar schemes.
Promote a strong culture of integrity, safety, and ethical behaviour throughout the organisation.
Design and deliver Risk & Compliance training to employees across the business.
Provide support and cover for other members of the Risk Management Team when required.
Person Spec
3-5 years' experience in a compliance, risk management, or regulatory role, ideally within construction or consulting.
Strong working knowledge of UK construction regulations, data protection legislation, and ISO management systems.
Proven experience delivering training sessions and presentations.
Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions efficiently.
Highly organised, with excellent time management and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Professional, flexible, and courteous communication style.
Desirable Qualifications
Relevant professional certifications such as GDPR, ISO Auditor, NEBOSH, RICS, or APM.
