Salaried GP We are seeking multiple GPs to work up to
5 sessions per week
between 16:00‑20:00 Monday‑Friday, delivering high quality early evening urgent care across our network.
We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified / early career GPs.
Annual leave entitlement: 30 days plus statutory bank holidays and 5 days study leave (pro rata).

Main duties of the job You will provide safe, effective, and evidence-based care through face‑to‑face and telephone consultations for same‑day urgent appointments. Sessions will take place at the Leen View site in the Bulwell Riverside building, with appointments offered to patients from all practices within the network.

Making referrals when required
Consultations will be primarily via SystmOne, with access to EMIS Web for patients from other practices.
The post holder will adhere to GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to effective management of the PCN and maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilities To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the PCN population.
Primary responsibilities
Delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
Provision of services commensurate with the GMS/Extended Access contract
Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
Effective management of long‑term conditions
Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals and other associated administrative tasks
Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
Work collaboratively, accepting an equitable share of the service workload
Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the PCN
Attend and contribute effectively to PCN meetings as required
Contribute effectively to the development and maintenance of the PCN including clinical governance and training
Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
Prepare and complete the revalidation process
Commit to self‑learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the team
Review and always adhere to PCN protocols and policies
Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, always promoting a culture of continuous improvement
Secondary responsibilities
Participate in PCN audits as requested by the audit lead
Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
Participate in the review of significant and near‑miss events applying a structured approach (root cause analysis)
Person Specification Experience
Experience of working in a primary care environment
Experience of continued professional development
Experience of QOF and clinical audit
General understanding of the GMS & Extended Access contract
Experience of medicines management
Experience of ICB initiatives
Full GMC registration
National Performers List registration
Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU)
Eligibility to practice in the UK independently

Qualifications
Qualified GP
MRCGP
Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)

Occupational Health clearance
