Join Our Youth Work Team at Blackbridge CCBS
We’re on the lookout for passionate, reliable sessional youth support workers and volunteers to help launch and deliver our brand-new Friday evening youth club in Podsmead at the Blackbridge Community and Sports Hub — every Friday from 5:30–8:30pm.
You’ll need to be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check (we can support this process if needed).
Why join us?
* Be part of a not-for-profit, community-led organisation
* Make a real impact in the lives of young people aged 11–16
* Receive full training and development – perfect if you're new to youth work
* Work in a supportive and inclusive team environment
* Flexible sessional hours – with potential for additional sessions as we grow
* Build experience in youth work, education, or community development
What does the role involve?
You’ll help plan and deliver fun, safe, and engaging sessions that give local young people a place to belong, be heard, and thrive. Whether it's games, cooking, mentoring, sports, or just being a listening ear, you’ll play a key role in supporting young people’s personal and social development.
Success in this role looks like:
* Building positive relationships with young people
* Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment
* Supporting the team with session delivery and safeguarding
* Contributing your energy, creativity, and care
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new and meaningful in the heart of Podsmead. Whether you’re experienced in youth work or just starting out — if you care about young people and your community, we want to hear from you!
