Equans is looking for a Building Control Surveyor to join our team in Grimsby. This is a full-time role with a competitive salary, company vehicle, bonus, and benefits package.
The role involves providing building regulation advice and guidance in a customer-focused environment, with opportunities for growth and development.
What will you deliver?
* Manage a caseload of complex residential and commercial schemes, including plan checking and site inspections for compliance with Building Regulations.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
* Offer professional advice on solutions to meet statutory requirements.
* Identify opportunities for service improvements and innovations.
* Assist in marketing and developing the building control service.
* Undertake statutory duties such as Demolition, Safety at Sports Grounds, and Event Safety Advisory.
* Participate in the Dangerous Structures team, including out-of-hours emergency call-outs.
* Work towards registration as a local authority building inspector.

Who are you?
* HND/HNC in Building Control or 3 years relevant experience.
* Accreditation to LABC level 5 or equivalent, with a commitment to gain accreditation.
* Membership of RICS, CABE, or CIOB preferred.
* Knowledge of building control frameworks and experience with complex applications.
* Excellent communication and customer care skills.
* Flexible and team-oriented approach.
* Willingness to train in related skills and participate in on-call duties.
